Studio Offerings

I teach a variety of instruments, in varying degrees of advancement. I am currently taking students at the following instruments and levels:

• Violin: beginner through college entrance material

• Viola: beginner through college entrance material

I also enjoy teaching general music classes, and this fall I will be offering the following:

• Elementary Music 1: grades K-2

  • An 8- week course for beginning to learn about singing technique, performing in an ensemble, beginning music notation & rhythm, within a repertoire of folk tunes, patriotic songs, hymns, and Bible songs.
• Elementary Music 2: grades 3-5
  • An 8- week course developing singing technique within an ensemble, sight-reading notation & rhythm, within a repertoire of folk tunes, patriotic songs, hymns, and Bible songs.
• Song leading and Conducting: for ages 8 through high school
  • Spend 6 weeks learning about discerning key signatures and time signatures, how to use a pitch pipe, reading SATB voicing, and conducting a singing group.

If you are in need of tutoring sessions toward a specific purpose, I offer short- term placements on a case- by- case basis. Summer lessons, training toward auditions or contest music, and secondary instrument instruction often fall into this category. Please contact me for availability of these special slots!
