Welcome!

I teach violin and viola lessons in Cass County, MO, in the greater Kansas City area. I also play in the Lee’s Summit Symphony, an amazing community orchestra with 4-5 performances a year.

There are lots of places to go, so feel free to look around! The blog gets updated once in a while with tips for practice and videos for my students, and includes many links to useful information for the burgeoning musician.

There are many benefits to taking private lessons on a stringed instrument, no matter what age or level of advancement. One such benefit in my studio is the opportunity to prepare for and perform in recitals, which I like to host once a year. Another benefit to private lessons is the opportunity for individualized feedback and recommendation, which provides an excellent complement to a string class in a school setting. My studio encourages the study of all aspects of music, and over the course of lessons music history, music theory, composition, and improvisation are all integrated into the learning experience in a one-on-one setting.
